The kallitype is an iron/silver process similar to platinum or palladium. I got my start in alternative printing with kallitypes. I worked hard at it and got a number of prints I still admire. Combined with gold or platinum toning, the kallitype process produces archival prints that rival platinum or palladium at a fraction of the cost. I haven't printed kallitypes in a number of years, but may return to it one day when I have a project well suited for it.
